I've never been to Ladera Ranch and I'm a little overwhelmed by all the hotel options. I'd like to stay in a hotel that is central and gives me good sense of what Ladera Ranch is like. I'd love to know where locals tell their friends to stay when they visit, and why those areas and hotels are special. thanks!
Katie, I'm sorry to disappoint you but there are no hotels to stay in Ladera Ranch. You can stay in nearby Mission Viejo, Dana Point or San Juan Capistrano. Ladera Ranch is a small bedroom community with a few strip malls and that's about it. If you are looking for hiking or biking there are some nice trails around but forget any cultural venues like museums, art galleries etc.
