What are good places for leisure cycling in the city?

Should be traffic free, with good views, and long enough for an hour of easy cycling.

I did a bike tour of the city (http://www.krakowbiketour.com/) that went all through Old Town and Kazimierz and we had no problems at all with traffic. There is great bike paths in Krakow, plenty of parks and there is also a path along the river with a dedicated bike lane that goes from Old Town to past Kazimierz. This bikeway would be your best bet as it's pretty much all flat, has great scenery as you go past many old buildings and attractions including the Dragon at Wawel Royal Castle, which is one of the major tourist attractions.

Most of the "tourists" Krakow is pretty flat. This includes the center of the city (from the train station to Kazimierz- the Jewish Quarter). However, there is a lot of traffic. You could go outside of the center, to Kopiesckosciuszko Mound Kościuszko Mound and there is less traffic. However, there are some hills to get there. Or you could go past the Kościuszko Mound to the forest Las Wolski. There are many trails in the forest. I would check with someone first before biking in the forest though because I don't know if the trails are all suitable for a bike.

Hi, probably Krakow is the best choice: great view, traffic free center, you can go to the castle by bicycle. Another interesting town is Gdansk: sea, good food, all the town center close to the traffic...just be careful, a lot of people around! Otherwise, if you are not interested in the city, you can go in the Masurian Lake District: amazing nature, lovely lake. Off course, in this case, the best choice would bring a tent and be there at least two days (or just stop in some beautiful cottage with lake view).
