I was just there a couple of weeks ago and discovered an new place called the No Name Pub near the entrance to No Name Key (the pub is technically on Big Pine Key - about 30-45 minutes north of key west).

It's been there for decades and has good food and cool atmosphere.  They have somewhere between 70,000 & 80,000 Dollar bills pinned to the walls and ceiling!  It's quite a site...

also, if you like coffee, Baby's Coffee is worth the stop at 3180 US HWY 1 (15 miles before you get to key west).

This is fairly close to Miami, but the Robert Is Here, Inc. fruit stand in Homestead has amazing milkshakes. I also liked their mini-key lime pie better than the one I got at Joe's Stone Crab - much cheaper as well!
