Indian currencies

Does the indian currencies (on date 16/10/2017) valid at nepal?

Not every places but i saw at many shops,Hotels, they don't bother about Indian rupee or Nepalese rupee

Not really it isn,t accepted throughout Nepal, it is acceptable in places around Indian boarders. However, notes above 500 is used all over Nepal and tbh many people would use it for transactions but small notes are rarely used and people would be not comfortable with trading in it.

Yes, but notes of 100 only, 500 & 1000 notes are difficult to accept in local market.

Namaskar! You can use IC in Nepal, but it is seen as a nuisance at small retailers. The rate is fixed at IC 100=NPR 160. The exchange market in Nepal is freer than in India, so there is no black market to speak of, and since the currency is pegged to IC your life in Nepal will be much more easy if you exchange to NPR rather than having to convert at every transaction.

As far as I know, you can exchange indian currency at major banks of Nepal
