Best campsites at Joshua Tree?

Is it better to camp in the park or just outside?  Any suggestions for a great camps spots for either?  Thanks!

Agree there are lots of good campsites, definitely camp in the park! Hidden Valley Campground is awesome though it fills up fast on the weekends, also White Tank Campground and Belle Campground

There are no bad campgrounds in Joshua Tree! Our favorite was Jumbo Rock Campground. It's huge but the big boulders give you a lot of privacy.
