Shortest flights from US to Japan?

What airline has the shortest flight(s) between the US and Japan? I am looking to book for the end of March 2016 through April 2016.  I am starting in South Florida, but usually Florida isn't the best hub for travel so I am certain that I will have to fly out of another major city to get a shorter flight time.  Also, which airline has the nicest first/ business class flights to Japan.

Thanks!

Hi, I think your best bet is Japan Airlines or 5 star ANA http://www.airlinequality.com/ratings/ana-all-nippon-airways-star-rating/

They partner with AA and United so connection from any city is not a problem.

United maybe ok in business too, BTW they could remove international first class completely soon.

Best deals in first/ business class are usually done via miles, if you don't have enough you could buy miles from airline or dozen of partner airlines.

There are so many combinations and nuances so I suggest to use experts help to save time and money at http://www.flystein.com/

    Cheers!

The vast majority of flights are going to come through LAX, but I know American flies to Tokyo through Dallas and the most random of all is Vietnam Airlines that does Tokyo to Atlanta. I can't comment on Vietnam Airlines quality, but that would be the quickest to South Florida for sure. LA has the most flights and choices for the Japan route, by far.

That is actually a Delta flight from Atlanta to Tokyo. Vietnam Airlines just codeshares on it. If you're living in South Florida, then Chicago is a decent connecting spot on American, Japan Airlines, United, or ANA. Atlanta is good on Delta as well. If you look at the great circle routes aircraft take, then those two are the most direct. http://www.gcmap.com/mapui?P=mia-ord-nrt,+mia-atl-nrt,+mia-nrt · (0 likelikes)
