Depending on which part of Italy you visit, typical weather in late October is quite nice.  Cool sunny days and cooler clear evenings, allowing one to dress more comfortably in pants and sweater.  Plus I  have found that crowds are thinner this time of year as well and the food is moving to a more hearty fare with the remains of the harvest still lingering on the menu.  The best time to experience Italy.

Hi Shannon,

I can only speak for the north, I have often spent time in Milan and Bergamo in late October and early November and the weather was always sunny and quite warm (early 70's f) It is definitely worth going to Italy then as it is relatively quiet and not too hot or humid.
