Overnight from rome: Capri or Amalfi Coast?

Wondering if anybody can share insights on this. Looking to chill out at a pool for a day and do some cool sightseeing. But a change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Rome. Will be with my fiancee.

Thanks!

You could also spend the day in Ischia. This island has more locals than tourists. You could easily spend a day relaxing at the Negombonear San Montano Resort & SPA. With a day in Capri you could visit the Blue Grotto which is amazing.

I think you may be trying to do too much for 1 day. You can definitely see Capri in a day - half a day if really necessary, but the Amalfi Coast would need at least 2 or three and to see more than one of the cities along the coast it's all buses and transportation - so that will waste time. Depending on how much you want to travel. But if relaxing and minimal site seeing is what you want to do I would suggest Capri. I personally, wouldn't travel that far for just one day.
