Hi! We are staying for a few days in Tel Aviv next week and we would like to visit Jerusalem and Jerico. It is safe? What are the best options to go from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem?
The best way to get from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem is to take the 480 Egged bus. The bus leaves 2000 Terminal in Tel Aviv (near the Tel Aviv Center - Savidor Central Railway Station on Arlozorov). It takes about an hour to get to the central station in Jerusalem..
There is a service called 'Monit Sherut' which is basically a shared Taxi.
The best way is to get the bus from the Central Station New Pharm to Jerusalem. You can find the hours of the bus in Egged website. www.egged.com, the other way is to take a taxi but it is more expensive. There are no other ways.
By bus ' take from the central bus station or there is also one from the Central train station of Tel Aviv (also called Tel Aviv Center - Savidor) the bus to Jerusalem.
Or in case you want to start your trip from the airport directly to Jerusalem just go into the trains internet site (http://www.rail.co.il/EN/Pages/Homepage.aspx) and find out the train close to your lending time. It is easy,
Hi Paula, the best option at present is to travel by auto buses that usually go by freeway number one. It is safe! Adjacent the Damascus gate of the Old City. You would need to hop on a Palestinian bus to travel to Jericho (Israel). It should be safe there too. Happy travels!
Jerusalem is safe. Not too sure about Jericho (Israel)
