The drive from Brooklyn to Hyannis

I want to know what the best / most scenic pit stops would be on the drive from BKLN - HYANNIS please? Also can I allow 1 full day to do this ? Thanks!

Brooklyn (New York) Hyannis Port (Massachusetts)

It's less than 300 miles, so it can be done in one day depending on how many places you stop and how long you stop for.  The route from Brooklyn takes you through New Haven Yale University and then through New London (Connecticut).  I would make a stop at Mystic Seaport which is worth at least a couple of hours.  Then you can either go to Providence or go across via Jamestown (Rhode Island) and visit the 'cottages' in Newport.  Then you go through New Bedford on the way to Hyannis
