I think the The Houston Zoo is a great place to visit for kids and adults. A new Gorilla exhibit just opened in May. Also in the area is Houston Museum of Natural Science and Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Both of these always have great exhibits. The rodeo occurs in February/March depending on the year. There are tons of good restaurants. I'd suggest checking Yelp because there are too many to mention. Hubcap Grill The Breakfast Klub

If you want to get out of town, Galveston is a fun place to visit! There is the beach and a fun waterpark Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark

A great, really unique museum is the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. Not a lot there but they feature some very interesting local artists and it’s worth seeing.

Don’t miss the Beer Can House. It’s literally a house made of beer cans. I wouldn’t bother with the tour—just stand outside and have a look.

If you happen to be into bicycles try the Houston Bike Museum which is exactly what it sounds like.

The Cockrell Butterfly Center is part of the Houston Museum of Natural Science and it’s pretty cool.

Have a beer at the Saint Arnold Brewing Company.

Space Center Houston– amazing part of American history

Houston Galleria– amazing part of shopping history ;)

Downtown Aquarium - It's really aimed for children but I still loved it, they have a good restaurant here too

Pete's Dueling Piano Bar – for great entertainment, I loved this place!

Glenwood Cemetery – beautiful place with stunning statuary. Howard Hughes is kind of the star attraction here.

Hey Juliana!

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is one of my favorite places in the city. You could spend days here and not see it all. The Houston Museum of Natural Science is another cool place. Hermann Park is pretty place to spend a few hours if you like the outdoors. Actually, if you like the outdoors, try to see a show at the Miller Outdoor Theatre. Interesting architecturally and always has something great going on.
