Hey everyone,
I am able to get a cheap flight to Hong Kong and am wondering how I could best use it as a jumping off point for an adventure.
I have been looking mostly at AirAsia flights, trying to keep it under $200 roundtrip. Maybe you could recommend other airlines that fly out of Hong Kong?
Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Kota Kinabalu seem to be fairly cheap options. But since AirAsia doesn't go everywhere from Hong Kong, I'm wondering if I am missing better options, maybe in Vietnam, Indonesia or the Philippines?
I typically prefer to get out of the cities into nature, whether it's beach, mountains or jungle.
Thanks!
cathay pacific's fanfare has promotions every tues, i was able to fly from hk to singapore with only about $1400 HKD round trip on a slow season, good luck!
Take a look at Hong Kong Express, it's a newer LCC out of Hong Kong International Airport, with flights to Phuket, Chiang Mai, Taichung City, Penang, Busan, Osaka, Tokyo, Seoul, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Ningbo, Zhengzhou, and Kunming airport.
The flight from Hong Kong to Tokyo Haneda is under US$100! It's just a pain to book the tickets sometimes on their website...

Try using www.Skyscanner.com. It will list big airlines along with low cost carriers.
