We are considering traveling in Asia with my gf for a 2week trip and we have come down to HK, Vietnam, and Taiwan.
We liked all three destinations and i would like to ask whether it is a good idea to combine them all together in 2 weeks, or remove one and if so, which.
Thank you in advance for your answers!!
For foodie, geography, culture experiance and varity other stuff, Taiwn is the best choice .
Vietnam will be the best value for money spent. It's not a metropolis, so you'll be at the mercy of the weather a lot. Hong Kong is the opposite. It's a giant mall essentially. Shopping get's very expensive very quickly here. Taiwan would be the best for food. Depending on your pallet, all 3 locations offer unique culture, food and adventures.
If I had two weeks, I would choose Hong Kong and Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam's southern city) is less than a three-hour flight from Hong Kong. Hanoi (Vietnam's northern city and the capital) is just over a two-hour flight away.
A four-night stay in Hong Kong would be sufficient before flying either to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh to start your 10-day travel in Vietnam. While in Vietnam, I recommend:
10 days is a bit short but enough to visit some of the major attractions.
