My fiance and I are looking to visit a place for our honeymoon that would offer both nature (hiking, biking, kayaking, etc), relaxation (beach/pool/resort), and fantastic food. Any recommendations for the best places to consider? We are looking to be away between 1-1.5 weeks in June, and while we don't want to go too crazy, budget is not a huge concern at this time.
Are you looking for domestic (U.S.) or international destinations?
For domestic destinations, I suggest the following:
Of course, Hawaii is a popular honeymoon destination as well if you don't mind flying for over 10 hours.
For international destinations, I suggest the following Caribbean islands:
1. Barbados. I like Fairmont Royal Pavilion location, beaches, and amenities.
2. Jade Mountain Resort in St. Lucia.
3. The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba in Palm Beach Aruba.
Or an all-inclusive resort like Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Perla located on Mexico's Caribbean private bay. Maybe a trip to France to a spa town called Aix-les-Bains, located on the edge of Le Bourget-du-Lac(France largest natural lake). Aix-les-Bans is about an hour from Lyon.
