I'm going to be in Homestead next month and will be on a pretty tight budget. I'm looking for the best free and inexpensive things to check out! I love the outdoors, art, museums, you name it. Thanks!
Robert Is Here, Inc. is a very nice outdoor food market that has music on fridays nice natural shakes.. and an animal farm, close to that there is a restaurant that sells gator sandwiches if you wanna give it a try.
The Everglades park are nice but its a long drive... the outlets are not crowded and nice so you can definitely shop in there. There's also the Biscayne National Park which has a man made beach so don't expect a great beach but its nice and it has a good Mexican restaurant. they also have a trail to walk with a visitor center and its all free but the parking which is like 5 dollars.
Definitely you wanna eat at Chefs on the run lunch is cheaper than dinner and is amazing!!!
There's some other nice places to visit in the Redland. :)
