Fernanda from Sao Paulo asked

What is not to be missed in Helsinki?

Is there any restaurant, bar, museum, landmark or anything at all not to be missed in beautiful Helsinki? I want to have a local experience, and avoid touristy spots, if possible!

Café Regatta is really nice. The are both tourists and locals.

Ravintola Torni is another favorite of mine.

Have a picnic and enjoy a lazy day in Suomenlinna island, take the ferry from Kauppatori Market Square approx. 15 minutes nice seatrip.

Theres a small supermarket where you can buy groceries, and even a relatively nice hostel with some private rooms, walk around visit some art exhibitions...

If you like a civilized wild nature experience, take a day trip to Nuuksion National Park, approx. 30 min. from the city, possible even by bus, get a glimpse of the Finnish nature.

City: Uudenmaankatu has some nice bars

also go to Kaivopuisto / Brunnsparken for some seashore moments

Café Carusel, Mattolaituri ...and caffe/drinks.

Dont miss Tallinn / Old Town 2,5 h by boat to Estonia , try to avoid the tourist masses and you have a great time there too.
