I'm going to be in Helsinki next month and will be on a pretty tight budget. I'm looking for the best free and inexpensive things to check out! I love the outdoors, art, museums, you name it. Thanks!
Hey! Check out Café Regatta, its a great view by the sea - and you pay only for your first tea/coffee and all the ones that follow are free. (actually, they return 5 cents every time you go back to the counter).
Also, a ferry to Suomenlinna is free once you have a travel card.
Roaming around the streets, entry into churches, Seurasaari / Fölisön (open are museum), market halls etc are all free. So if the weather is good, you'll have lots & lots to do. :)
