Best Places to Eat in Hanoi on a Budget

Hey all,

Heading to Hanoi today for 2 weeks (February 9 - February 21) and I've heard a ton about the food there. Does anybody have any specific recommendations on where to eat there?

We're on a budget, so we'd be willing to pay about CAD$20 for a meal. However, since it's Vietnam I'm assuming that is still enough to get you there.

$20 is probably enough to feed you for 2 whole days! The food in Vietnam is amazing. My friends and I went on a walking food tour of the old quarter and it was the absolute best. Our guide took us through the hidden alleys we sampled some of the best street food i've had in Vietnam. I'll be glad to share!

Hi Tyler, in the ancient quartier there are lots of little restaurants with tables on the sidewalks (and even on the street) where the food is really good and cheap. I don't think you'll have any problems with that. everything is really tasty.
