Suggestions on where to stay in Dubrovnik & Greece for a honeymoon in July?

My fiancé and I are planning our honeymoon for next summer. We would like to stay for one week in Croatia, I am thinking Dubrovnik. Then we will be flying to Greece for a week. Any suggestions on places to stay?? We would like to be near the beach and have a pool. We love music, meeting new people and resort style hotels. We don't need something extravagant but would like something beautiful.

    Hey Alyce,

It's challenging to get from Dubrovnik to Greece. I would suggest the following: This is a bit more adventurous so consider accordingly: You don't need more than 2-3 days in Dubrovnik. Rent a car and drive south through Montenegro, stopping off at Sveti Stefan and Budva. You won't be sorry! From there drive into Albania's capital, Tirana. From Tirana, you can fly on Aegean Airways to Athens and from there catch any number of flights or ferries to Santorini or Mykonos.

    Hi Alyce

Corfu is your nearest Greek Island, it's beautiful as it's a very green island. More beautiful still, in my opinion, is Paxos just off the coast of Corfu.

When you say "resort hotel", do you mean All Inclusive? If so, personally I wouldn't recommend it in Greece as you will miss out on the famous Greek food & hospitality, where there's an AI there is no other thriving business.

If you just mean a hotel as opposed to self catering apartments then I can personally recommend The Coral in Roda. There are just two hotels in Paxos, Paxos Club Resortand Paxos Beach Hotel, both near Gaios.
