Welcome to Grayslake. Hands down, the best restaurant in Grayslake is The Vine - Martini & Wine Bar on Center Street. Unfortunately, it is closed for remodeling through May 28th. Other places you might try are Sakezake(on Rte. 83 north of Washtington St.) for Japanese food. For breakfast and lunch, you might try Fred's, a small diner on Center Street run by a couple of very funny women.  If you like Cuban food, Congri Cuban Restaurant on Rte. 83 just north of Center is pretty good. A bit farther afield (not in Grayslake), north on Rte. 45, is Ad Lib, which is a really fine restaurant. Finally, for cupcakes, you cannot beat Cacao Sweets & Treats on Center Street. Grayslake also has an excellent farmer's market on Saturdays but changing to Wednesday afternoons on June 3rd.

101 Center StThe Vine - Martini & Wine Bar is a great place with upscale bar food & great salads along with craft cocktails & great wine. The Vine also has artisanal cheeses and charcuterie that rotates every week.  Ad-Lib Geocafeis absolutely amazing for locally sourced food & regional wines- a little pricey but totally worth it. If you go to Ad Lib, consider the Chef's choice-if you're traveling with a friend you can both order it & basically get to sample the whole menu. Emil'sis great for pizza & beer, right in downtown as well. Enjoy Grayslake, we love living here!
