Restaurant Recommendations in Granada?

We are a family of four visiting in Granada.  What are the hot restaurants today that we must try?

Hi Elodie,

You will love Granada! There are lots of great restaurants, but I would suggest taking advantage of tapas-style dining in Granada. It's one of the only cities in Spain where tapas are free with any drink. Sometimes the tapas are so big that one or two can serve as a meal, but at most tapas bars you can also order "raciones," or bigger plates, to share.

The hot neighborhood for dining right now is the Realejo-San MatíasPapaupa retrofusionfood is a hip restaurant with creative tapas and cool decor. Casa Lopez Correa is another Realejo tapas bar that has some great comfort-food tapas. Los Manueles serves generous portions of traditional Spanish tapas like patatas bravas. For a few more suggestions, the NY Times recently wrote an article about the Realejo neighborhood: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/19/travel/gourmands-transform-a-granada-neighborhood.html?_r=0

Agree with Brenda that Taberna La Tana is excellent. If you find yourself in the Calle Navas area, make this the one place you go (most other restaurants there can be pretty touristy).

Don't forget to check out the Mirador San Nicolás and get lost in the Albayzin. Enjoy!!

Not a restaurant but you must do drinks and tapas at Taberna La Tana. Jesus is a trained sommelier and has the greatest wine selection and delicious tapas. Also, if you want good food and the most beautiful location, dine at one of the carmens overlooking the Alhambra. Pricey but worth it.
