Rob from Moergestel asked

Good destination in July / August for nature, wildlife and relaxing?

Looking for a good last minute destination where we can see wildlife, nature and just can relax. We were thinking of Sri Lanka or Philippines, but the weather is unpredictable in that period.

Other option was Lombok, Komodo, Flores...

But maybe have someone any other alternative and a option that is not for high budget!

Banff National Park has the most stunning outdoor vistas. I've also heard great things about Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia.

I totally recommend Romania. Here you can find beautiful landscapes from mountainviews in Carpathian Mountains with its unique savage fauna and flora, up to amazing caves, gorges, waterfalls, Danube Delta, virgin forests, authentic rural life, Maramures with its Merry Cemetery, rich culture, steam train and much more.

Norway or Finland if you want to be in the mountains with bears, lynx, etc.

Maybe Croatia and be sure to check out Krka National ParkGreecemay be a bargain based on what happens in the next week or two.

We could be slightly biased but Banff and Jasper (Canada) are absolutely beautiful , especially during the summer. There are endless hikes, waterfalls, pristine lakes, etc. There is generally quite a significant amount of wildlife as well, lots of mountain goats, elk, grizzlies and black bears.

Fly into Calgary and renting a car to get around would be the easiest because you can definitely see more with a car and it could be cheaper than a bunch of tours added up. They do have shuttles from the airport though. Although hotel accomodations in town can get pricey you can get by without spending a lot of money because what you'd want to see is just a hike away.

I've lived here all my life and there's always something new and breathtaking to see.

I recommend the Caribbean island of Dominica. Garden of Eden located between the French islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique.
