From Los Angeles to Grand Canyon

I don't like driving and I am not used to US freeways. Should I plan to do the trip in one day or two. Some people say there is not much to see from LA to GC (never been there). Is the Mojave National Preserve interesting to see? Somewhere to spend the night? Sorry for all these questions... ;) ;)

I suggest you fly from Los Angelesto Phoenix. Rent a car in Phoenix and drive to Grand Canyon National Park. From there drive to Sedona And then return your car in Phoenix.

Why ? The drive from la is lovely. But it takes a long time. And it doesn't compare with the majesty of the drive from Phoenix. And it's probably less expensive to fly to Phoenix. There is no reason to drive back and forth the same route from
Phoenix to Grand Canyon. Sedona is stunning and a lot of fun. Keep in mind there are plenty of amazing stops
Along these drives. If possible
Do one night in Grand Canyon and a few in Sedona.

You always have the option of a stay-over in Las Vegas. It's not the most direct rout between Los Angeles and Grand Canyon Village, but you get to drive over the Hoover Dam, and the dessert is impressive
