Andrew from Manhattan Beach asked

Rainy day kid friendly activities in Dallas/Ft. Worth Area?

We're going to be traveling over the holidays and it looks like we've got some wet weather ahead of us.  What are some good rainy day activities to keep a 3 year old and 6 year old (and their parents) entertained?

Try Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. My kids are older buy i hear Great Wolf Lodge has an indoor pool that you may be able to buy a day pass to. Grapevine Mills has a few entertainment venues like ice skating rink, Build-A-Bear Workshop and a LEGOLAND Discovery Center Dallas/Ft Worth also.

Great suggestions, Cynthia! Sounds like there's tons to do in Grapevine! By the way, I'm a community manager here and I've helped you highlight the places in your answer on a map! In the future, you can do this yourself as you answer a question by simply typing the @-symbol followed by the name of the place. Take a look at your map next to your answer :)

We recently visited the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas.  There were lots of great "hands-on" activities for kids.  My favorite parts were the bridge building and robot programming labs.

They also have a sports science exhibit where the kids were able to race against several different animals including a t-rex and a cheetah!

There are places like Main Event Entertainment or Altitude Trampoline Park. Those are indoors and fun.

I think the Perot Museum of Nature and Science may be a good option for the kids.  There a lot of hands on activities. Check it out.
