What's the day time temperature like in Key West during the holiday season?
I live on the Southwestern tip of Florida - Marco Island - which is always warmer in the winter than Key West. So I looked on http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KEYW/2014/12/17/MonthlyHistory.html#calendar and it appears that temps on Key West on Christmas Week average between about 49 and 66. So if you want to swim in the ocean you better be cold blooded! Come to Marco Island instead - we have beautiful sandy beaches and Key West has rocky beaches!
Hi, Christmas is the winter season in Key West. Weather can be beautiful and warm, or a cold front can come through and temperatures can drop to an average of in the 50's. There is no guarantee of warm weather in Florida or the The Bahamas although weather is warm and nice more often than not. To guarantee warm weather around Christmas, your travel destination should be anywhere south in latitude of Puerto Rico for that area of the world. And, of course, usually the Holiday season means higher High Season prices in Key West, even without the warm weather guarantee. That said, I love Key West.
