Fly driving Florida in September of this year, been loads of times before and done Atlantic side and gulf coast side also key west, thinking of maybe going up to Pan handle coast line and maybe over to New Orleans, suggestions welcome please?
Lots of places to visit along the Panhandle and going to Louisiana. Starting at St. Marks Lighthouse which is a state park and has a nice lighthouse. Tallahassee has the Florida Historic Capitol Museum (free for a donation) Mission San Luiswhich is a full size reconstruction of the Spanish mission There are lots of beautiful beaches along here the sand is so white it looks like snow. The Indian Temple Mound Museum in Fort Walton Beach which also has a historic city tour. Nearby is the Air Force Armament Museum on Eglin AFB (free) and Pensacola which has the Fort Barrancas and the National Naval Aviation Museum on the Navy base. Then over to Mobile to visit Fort Conde Welcome Center On each side of Mobile Bay are Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island and Fort Morgan (Alabama) (of Damn the Torpedos fame). On the way to New Orleans you could stop off in Biloxi
