I assume you will be driving from Florence to Como? That's a fairly short trip...around 5 hours...which is a pity because you'll be passing by several places which warrant at least a day's exploration of their own.
Bologna is a fantastic historical and 'foodie' city, full of wonderful historical sights & sites and superb places to eat. The Basilica Santo Stefanois particularly interesting and atmospheric: it's a complex of churches, shrines and religious buildings dating back to at least the 300sAD.
Modena has a lovely historical centre and is famed for its balsamic vinegar and its links with famous Italian sports car manufacturers such as Ferrai and Lamborghini.
The historical centre of Mantua , with its many lovely buildings, is a Unesco World Heritage Site and in 2017 the city was the European Capital of Gastronomy.
Verona is yet another wonderful Italian city stuffed with wonderful historical sights & sites. It too is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There's a Roman amphitheatre, 'Juliet's house', ancient churches, a Roman bridge over the river and a huge Roman arch, lovely riverside views ....
Lovely Bergamo is another fantastic city. It's in two parts, with the upper part (Citta Alta) being the oldest. The Citta Alta is encircled by huge Medieval defensive walls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are ancient streets and churches to explore, lovely views over the surrounding countryside, fantastic places to eat, a tradition of 'aperitivi'....
Frankly, you are spoilt for choice!
I've explained about 'best' restaurants in my reply to your other question. As long as you keep away from obvious tourist-traps you won't find a poor restaurant in Italy. If you want Michelin stars or upmarket places it's easy enough for you to just google them for yourself.
