I have a wedding in the Hamptons over Labor Day so I'm taking a few extra days to just explore. Can someone recommend a couple of good restaurants in the area? I'd love some good seafood places if you know any, but I'm up for anything. I've heard it's pretty expensive there so I'm prepared to splurge a little.
I would say:
The Living Room at The Maidstone -- $30-40 per entree -- Scandinavian cuisine -- fish heavy but good meat too -- casual
Nammos Southampton -- Southampton -- $25-40 per entree --- more of a scene/ kind of dressy
Fresno -- East Hampton -- $25-40
The Palm -- kid friendly but upscale still
Sotto Sopra -- Amaggansett -- great place, good food, pretty casual
East Hampton Grill -- a lot of people like this place but it is a chain (a Hillstone) -- I'd skip it

Tutto IL Giorno in Sag Harbor is incredibly charming. Serafina is great, too and so is the Red Bar Brasserie.

If you're looking to splurge and want to perhaps catch a glimpse of some stars (the movie type) I'd strongly recommended Nick & Toni's . The food is great and we always enjoy ourselves there!
