where to stay overnight along route from central NJ to Nashville

Looking for a nice and safe place to stay one night after driving 9 or 10 hours on way to Nashville TN along Route 81.

East Brunswick (New Jersey) ⇨ Nashville (Tennessee)

Hi Susan,
I would stop at one of the hotels in Kingsport (Tennessee) TN, close to I-81. Here are 3 to consider:

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kingsport
Sleep Inn & Suites Kingsport
Comfort Inn South

You would have driven around 9.5 hours when you arrive in Kingsport from New Brunswick . Kingsport is about 4 hours from Nashville

First time heading southwest out of Jersey so not sure about traffic flow. We were hoping to make it to TN so Kingsport sounds good. Appreciate your suggestions. Will check them out!
