Most Scenic Route

All of the routes are scenic. There is a valley near Montrose, which is not as exciting, but the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park  is there. You can then head east on 50 and up 285. Or, at Gunnison, you can head north to Crested Butte and then take some of the back roads up through the mountains. I think you will enjoy pretty much any direction you go.
