The best way to see Dublin is to take the hop-on/hop-off bus tour.  You're looking around 17- 20 euros which is good for 2 days. Visit places like Trinity College to see the Book of Cells, St Patrick's Cathedral, Guinness Storehouse, The Old Jameson Distillery and you can visit Temple Bar for lots of restaurants although this is a more touristy area.  O’Donoghues O'Donoghues is great for live music, you can try Davy Byrnes & Doheny & Nesbitts for pubs with live music.  For restaurants you can try Seven Social, Fade Street Social, and Mulberry Garden.  If you like a nice glass of wine, try the wine cave in the basement at the Fallon & Byrne.

Mentioned in this answer:

  1. Trinity College (attraction)
  2. St Patrick's Cathedral (attraction)
  3. Guinness Storehouse (attraction)
  4. The Old Jameson Distillery (attraction)
  5. Temple Bar (attraction)
  6. Fallon & Byrne (attraction)
