I'd love to hear about the best hotels in Dublin. The more touristy the better!
Hello, There are so many hotels in Dublin..
In city centre there are 3 posh hotels. But those would be 4-5 strar and very expensive ones:
The Westbury Hotel right in the main area and the heart of Dublin) You might not stay there, but you can also pop in the for cup of coffee (well its 6 eur, but environment is what you pay for.
also very expensive, but gorgeous.
see the photos-really cool place, maybe after your shopping or a walk on Grafton Street.
Another is like nearly Irish symbol
The Shelbourne Dublin, A Renaissance HotelAnd The Gresham Hotel, its on O'Connell Street Upper-the main street in Dublin.
There are lovely hotels and not that expensive ones.
Just a few to mention
Jurys Inn Parnell Street Dublin
not that far from Dublin centre, all is so close, price is cool, plus nice hotel !
Gibson hotel(this one is very handy if your'e going to 3Arena, since is just beside it. But it's a bit out of the city, and no attractions near by. Also, i would advice if you're driving-this hotels is super.Otherwise, not very good in terms of connecting to the city -only taxi.
Another LOVELY hotel is
Hilton Garden Inn Dublin Custom House
if you're planning to visit the Kilmaingham Goal (historical place and must see, just don't forget to book tickets in advance for this one !!! )
So summarising-go for coffee or tea to city central hotels-theya re all awesome.
But you can stay a bit further from city and save :)
Skylon, Juryss IN -would be really good choice :)
Enjoy your TRIP !!!!

Hi Kelly,
Stayed at 2 hotels in Dublin and really enjoyed both of them. One is The Westbury Hotel. High end but worth the splurge. It's a great location and everything is right out the door. The other is The Schoolhouse Hotel. Nice inn but it is a walk which we didn't mind. It's part of the adventure. Good luck and have fun!

Hi Kelly,
Dublin has all of the usual chains: Conrad, Hilton, Ritz Carlton etc. We also have a number of nice boutique hotels. When you mention "touristy" and "best" in the same sentence I'm assuming that you want a nice hotel in a touristy area? Do you have a big or small budget? Clarence Hotel is part-owned by Bono and U2, it's a 4 star located on the edge of Temple Bar which is a very touristy area! The Morrison, a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel is also near Temple Bar. The Merrion Hotel Dublin is a 5 star located near the National Gallery of Ireland Dáil Éireann (Lower House of the Irish Parliament) and St Stephen's Green Dylan Hotel is a chic, small hotel 15 minutes walk into town and near Ballsbridge
At the other end of the budget is Pembroke Townhouse Dublin and The Dean Dublin decent hotels with regular special offers. Central Dublin also has a good smattering of Airbnb rooms and apartments.

Not sure what you mean by 'best' nor 'touristy'....nor what sort of budget you have.... but you could have a look at these lists:
