Airport transportation

We will not be renting a car, so I was wondering how we might get from the airport to the city, besides a taxi? I thought I saw some kind of "airport bus" on a video. Any help will be appreciated, thank you!

Hi Kelly,
I chose and pre-booked my transfers with Dublin Airport Taxis. Here is the link:
The driver waited for us just outside the airport security area, holding a sign with my name. It was not the cheapest, but it was the most convenient. I didn't have to worry about payment while I was there as all payment was made online using my credit card before my arrival in Dublin .

There are a number of buses going from the airport to Dublin. It will depend on where you’re staying to decide which is the best bus for you.
Buses 747 & 757 are local buses with lots of stops serving different parts of the city.
Airccoach services are dedicated airport buses with more limited stops  They serve places outside the city centre but they pass through the city on their way.

All EU airports have good public transport access, by bus and sometimes train as well, both to the primary city they serve and usually to other locations as well. Ireland is no different.
The official Dublin Airport (DUB) website lists all the bus operators which serve the airport.
Just click on the operator name to go to their website.
As you're staying in central Dublin one of the two Airlink Express routes will probably be best:
You can buy tickets (with a small discount) online in advance or just pay the driver in cash (cards not accepted): 7 euro one-way, 12 euro return (i.e. round-trip). Airport bus services always carry a premium in Europe: local ('ordinary') bus fares are of course much cheaper.
