Where do young locals like to dine and go out in Dubai?

This is my first trip to Dubai and I want to experience the city like a young local. Where are the best places to eat and go out?

Dubai is an amazing place for young people. It has everything you can imagine in terms of nightlife. Dubai's nightlife is mainly focused around Burj Khalifa and Palm Jumeirah.

Some fantastic spots to check out are the restaurants around Jumeirah Beach Residence and The Beach next door. It's an outdoor strip and you can pick from many choices. Pier 7 also has some good options - Fume and Cargo are pretty lively. The bars and restaurants in Downtown Dubai also a good choice if you are based around that part of town with several great lounge bars. If you want to really live the Dubai life, head to Mercury Lounge for 360 views of the Dubai skyline and the Arabian Gulf, shisha and cocktails after the summer.

I would definitely head to the outdoor weekend Ripe Food & Craft Market during the day and perhaps Dubai International Financial Centre for more swanky options, and Jumeirah Lakes Towers or Dubai Marina in the evening. Pier 7 is definitely a good bet as there are a few places to choose from. Enjoy!
