Will be in Dubai for 2 nights, looking for hotel rec. under $150/nite, also recommendations for must see sights
Go to Booking.com and do a search for your date range and rate. You will find many hotels in great locations for under $150/night. If you register far enough in advance, you can lock in a great rate and some hotels allow you to cancel or change your dates up to a week in advance for free.
There is also the AirBnB route, which can be comparable to booking an actual hotel in quality and price, plus you could end up with some interesting hosts to make friends with. Always be careful to check the cancellation policy of the host and the corresponding cancellation fees from AirBnB so you don't get a lousy surprise.
Either way, planning registering your booking in advance will save you a lot of money.
There are many Hotels in Dubai in different areas - if you need my advice, try Hotel Suite Novotel Mall of the Emirates in Al-Barsha, Four Points by Sheraton Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, Centro Al-Barsha...or look for any hotels in Al-barsha or in sheikh zaid road
For sights, not much historical sights, but must visit is The Dubai Mall, Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Madinat Jumeirah
All depends on what time you will be visiting dubai, it will be very hot in summer.
