The Children's Museum of Denver and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science are great for kids! The fountain outside of Denver Union Station is fun too, and the restaurants there are all great. On Saturday’s there is a big farmers market too.

Check out this local food festival, the kids will love it and you can teach them about food sourcing too:

There is a great Children's Museum of Denver. Close to downtown and and interesting section of the Platte River you can explore. The Denver Zoo is awesome and if it's too hot, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science is in the same place as the zoo, City Park.

Most of the places are family friendly and stroller friendly.
You can go to Estes Park, Rocky mountain national park, Grand Lake and several state parks in and around the city.
Like Chatfield, Cherry creek, Roxbourough.
The city itself is vibrant with lots of to-dos. Visit the downtown, museums, City Park and Sloan Lake area is pretty.
Wash Park is one of my favourites.
The downtown has free shuttles so you need not walk with kid. Just hop on and hop off the shuttle to the points of interest.
Food scene is real good too- if that helps.

Visit the Denver Aquarium, see a Rockies game, or enjoy the Botanical Gardens just to list a few. There is also a Nature and Science Museum and the Denver Zoo which would all be great in the summer. Enjoy!
