Lauren from Chicago asked

Where to go for lunch in Dallas?

My husband and I are going to be in Dallas for a wedding in May so we'll have a little time on Saturday and Sunday afternoons to grab a few bites. Any recs on where we should eat? Cool coffee shops? Best BBQ?

Dallas (Texas)

Pecan Lodge is one of the best BBQ spots or Lockhart Smokehouse in Bishop Arts, go in the late afternoon to avoid lines. Ascension Coffee is very good in the design district.

Rex's Seafood Market for wonderful fresh seafood.

Rise has great souffles and charming atmosphere.

Hattie's has wonderful southern soul food in the Bishops arts district

You should go to Houston's for lunch--there are two locations in Dallas.

It probably depends on where you'll be, but one of my favorite places is Gloria's Restaurant in Oak Cliff. The Bishop Arts district around the corner is a nice place to walk around and kill some time in the afternoon. Eno's Pizza Tavern in Bishop Arts is also great, and has a really good beer selection, if that's your thing.
