Best route from North Carolina to Dallas Texas

I will be traveling alone. I'm a senior woman and would like to stop at some of the nicest beaches in Alabama, I have 4 days to travel. Would like to visit beaches along the way safe for single senior women.

Hi Gale,
I've never taken a road trip from North Carolina but did take a few from Florida to Dallas. You may want to visit the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach in Alabama's Gulf Coast.
You can relax on the sugar-white beaches, eat fresh seafood, and go on a dolphin cruise. For accommodation, check out The Lodge at Gulf State Park (a Hilton hotel), Kiva Dunes Resort and Perdido Beach Resort.
You'll have about a 10-hour drive to Dallas from Alabama's Gulf Coast.

There are not many beaches in Alabama although most of them I think are safe.  Gulf Shores and Dauphin Island are the ones I know of.  However if you only have 4 days, going from  somewhere in North Carolina (and you don't say where) - even if I put your start at the west in in Franklin (North Carolina) to Gulf Shores is an 8 hour drive.  Then from there to Dallas is about 11 hours.
If I shift the beach over to Biloxi then you have 8 hours to Biloxi and another 8 hours to Dallas.  Although I don't think the beach is as nice.
