Dallas

3 days in Dallas, no car - best food, coffee, neighborhoods to visit?

I'm in for 3-day conference late October.  Want to explore a few great neighborhoods, restaurants. Don't want to rent a car; is public transportation available or is it best to walk or take cabs?

If you visit the downtown Arts District...that is a full day event. Nice art, great restaurants all within walking distance.

For shopping, Dart is our public transportation that will take you straight to North Park Mall.

The Galleria Dallas is another great mall. You would probably take Uber for that as it is farther in North Dallas depending on where you stay.

Look at the Cowboys schedule to check out the stadium and some football if you like sports.

Google search Dallas Theater and Dallas Arboretum also.

We have a little bit of everything.

It's hard to get around in Dallas without car, but if you like sea food you will love Shell Shack Uptown. The best neighborhoods are Arts District (self-explanatory) and Deep Ellum for pubs, boutiques and street art. 20 minute walking distance for each if going A-B-C. ;)

I would suggest taking Über to Bishop Arts District. I would echo others that visiting AT&T Performing Arts / DMA area, including Klyde Warren Park and Stephan Pyles restaurant is a good day.
