Hi Michael, Are you trekking with or without a guide? The trek starts at Mollepata but it's best to stay in Cusco for a few days to acclimatize before going on Salkantay Trail. Here are a few places you may like:
Andean Rooftop Guesthouse, located in the heart of Cusco, featuring a rooftop bar with amazing views.
Tierra Viva Cusco Saphi, a boutique hotel with comfortable rooms and just three blocks from Plaza de Armas.
Yanuy Culinary Guesthouse, a place that offers friendly service and good breakfast.
The trekking tour ends in Aguas Calientes (gateway to Machu Picchu). In Aguas Calientes you may want to stay at the following places:
Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel
Tierra Viva Machu Picchu
Michael Thanks again Claudia- we leave in a week, took your advice about Huacachina too!!
Michael And we are using a guided small group 4 day trek with Salkantay Trekking.
Claudia Have a safe trip. Disfruta tu viaje a Peru!
