Iulia from Sibiu asked

Wildcamping in Croatia?

Hei hei,

We're planning a 10 days car trip through Croatia (coast and natural parks), and mostly with the tent. As I understood wild camping is illegal, but is it tolerated? Is police patrolling around islands and important visiting areas? Camping places can be nice but I imagine they are crowded this time of year and a big part of nature is lost.

Thanks a lot ^_^

You can only camp at registered camp sites. I would not risk camping elsewhere, you never know how harsh they could punish you. Just to be safe i'd stick to the places where it is tolerated. Vrsar might be a good location to look into. I don't think it would be as crowded as Split or Dubrovnik.
