What is the best/cheapest way to travel to Croatia from South Africa?

Try going through Istanbul on Turkish airlines. Depending on when you go , it could be the cheapest option , plus you can then have a stay over in Istanbul if you wish ( free visa for South Africans ).

I would say to go in the winter. There's about a $400-$500 difference in that route depending on the time of year.
