Croatia: 4 adults - 6 boys (aged 5-10yrs) - best itinerary for a 7-9 days

Like to get out amongst the culture. We aren't resort people.

I am guessing though guessing a pool would be handy. Where is best to stay - to base ourselves?

One or two - or more locations for our itinerary?

We want to go to Plitvice and Krka. Is Zagreb worthwhile? The islands?

How best to get around with this size group?

We are travelling at the end of August.

Tell us how you would spend your time the best if you were us.

I agree with Lauren, sailing holiday is the best way to see and experience Croatian coast. I would skip Zagreb. You can charter a boat and this way you'll visit beautiful towns like SplitDubrovnik and the islands like HvarKorculaMljetVisBrac

Hi Kristy!
If you're seeking an authentic family holiday in Croatia, I would highly recommend a sailing holiday - especially if swimming, visiting islands and new locations are on your list!

Last year I sailed from Split and explored the islands of BracHvarKorcula with my family - it was absolutely amazing and the best holiday I've ever had - Croatia is absolutely stunning and makes the perfect backdrop for those instagram photos!

Enjoy your holiday! ;)
