If the weather is decent, consider taking the "S" train to Klampenborg station and visit Bakken. A 15 min walk from the station. Is an old time amusement park in a large park on the outskirts of Copenhagen. You can walk or bike around in the the park and even get a view of Sweden at one end and also visit a small hunting castle (The Hermitage) in the middle before going to Bakken for food and a beer. The food is really Danish and inexpensive compared to downtown Copenhagen. Some of the restaurants have outdoor seating and music in the evenings. If you want a little more fancier place to eat, just outside of Bakken is Peter Lieps Hus restaurant.

If you're there in the summer on a weekend, call and order a fried chicken from Amass. It's one on the best restaurants in the city and the owner/chef is American. He makes a mean fried chicken and you can get it take out and eat it in garden by the fire watching the sun set over the harbor. It's a local special. Enjoy.
