I'll be in NYC this fall and I want to see Coney Island where I haven't been since I was a kid. I literally don't even know what's there to see anymore so I'm totally open to ideas.
Coney Island has changed a lot in the last few years but it's still fun. Besides sightseeing on the boardwalk, I'd see a game at
Brooklyn Cyclones -- the minor league team of the New York Mets -- and stop in at Lola Star, a tiny shack that sells kitschy
Coney Island merchandise. Instead of waiting on line at Nathan's for an hour (or more), go to
Paul's daughter and try a pork or chicken sausage. There's a large candy chain called It's Sugar that just appeared on the boardwalk this year. They've got an amazing buffet of gummy bears, but if you like classic candy instead, try the apples and marshmallows at
William's Candy Shop. If you still have time, take a walk down to
