We'll be flying from DC to Charleston, SC, where we'll have a roadtrip down to Miami. But we have some friends from North Columbia who would like to meet us. Since we don't want them to drive so far south, neither do we want to drive too far up north (wouldn't make sense since we've decided to fly from DC to Charleston!), we were thinking about meeting them halfway, somewhere around Columbia (about 3hours away from Charleston). But is it worth to spend a day or two in Columbia, SC? What is there to do and see? We'd prefer to stay in the outskirts, unless there's really nothing and/or there are some really interesting stuff to do in the city.
