Hi Asaf,

October is rainy season in Colombia. August falls into the ‘in-between.’ Generally, Colombia’s dry season is from December to March. Rainy season is from April to November. Tropical downpours are most frequent in September and October in Cartagena, a port city on Colombia's Caribbean coast.

Which region will you be visiting?

The highlands can be chilly in early morning and at night but the Caribbean coast is hot and humid year-round. Rainy season is from April to May, and September to November for Medellín and Bogota. Medellin, also known as the City with Eternal Spring is at 5,000 feet above sea level. Bogota is over 8,000 feet above sea level. Both cities have a subtropical highland climate and the weather can be unpredictable throughout the day. Always have a light jacket and an umbrella ready.
