Are you going to be in Cleveland in December?  The Cleveland Botanical Garden has something called "Glow" for the month of December with decorated trees, a model train, gingerbread house making etc.  There is also the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum the Aquarium & Zoo Facilities Association, USS Cod Submarine Memorial the Great Lakes Brewing Company and many other interesting things to do.

Around University Circle, The Cleveland Museum of Art is among the best in the country, and entry is free for the permanent collection and affordable for others. Cleveland Orchestra is a top-five orchestra, playing at nearby Severance Hall. So many good restaurants and bars (and plenty of stinkers as well). If it's a Michael Symon or Zach Bruell venue, you can't go wrong. L'Albatros in the University Circle area is a standout. West Side Market - a little east of downtown, in an area called Ohio City, is a great food venue (but not open every day). There are many brewpubs nearby, plus a Penzeys Spices. It's right on the Red Line Ohio City/W 25th stop.

Check out the newly updated Flats East Bank Valet for some great restaurants, breweries, night life right on the river.  Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is a must-see if you're a music fan.  Cleveland Museum of Art is a short 15 minute drive east in University Circle
