Trendy new restaurants for girls dinner?

Hi Chicago Trippy friends!

I'm heading to Chicago for the holidays and need a fun, new spot for a girls dinner for 5. Looking for new places that have opened within the last year. 

Open to any/all areas of the city, no particular budget. Just looking for tasty food, good cocktail list, and trendy atmosphere.

Try Green Street Smoked Meats, Maude's Liquor Bar or Grange Hall Burger Bar. Those are all in the West Loop. You can also grab a drink at Soho House Chicago in the neighborhood.

Thanks, Brittni! Do you need to be a member of Soho House to have drinks there? I know you do in LA. LOVE Maude's! Have never heard of Green Street - will check it out.

If you're in the Hyde Park neighborhood, check out The Promontory restaurant. It's owned by the same folks who run Longman & Eagle and Dusek's. Good food, good drinks, and great atmosphere.

Try the Boka Group's Momotaro. It's a pretty new Japanese spot.

I don't do hot new anything (ha ha) but you might check out Chicago Mag's hot list which has some of the trendy places, this is the list for December but you can Google by month to see some of the other places that opened this year.

Dusek's and The Promontory, which were mentioned by someone else, have both gotten good buzz but just note that neither are centrally located, Dusek's is in Pilsen and Promontory is in Hyde Park, it sounds like you know the city well enough to know where those both are :-)  Enjoy your visit!
