Labor Day events for kids/teens in Chicago?

Visiting Chicago over Labor Day weekend and wondering if there are some events for kids/teenagers to enjoy?

Hi Demetra,

I grew up in Chicago, and I'd recommend renting Divvy bikes (many locations across the city) and cruising the lakefront around Oak Street Beach. It's beautiful and you get some great views of the city!

Definitely take them to a Chicago Cubs game in Wrigley Field! Such a great experience and they are playing at home 9/4-9/6.

North Coast Music Fest is happening Labor Day weekend if they are into live music, but it's 17+.

Lastly, although a little touristy, I'd go to the top of the Skydeck Chicago to catch views and walk out on a glass ledge 100+ stories up. Scary, but fun!

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Mentioned in this answer:

  1. Oak Street Beach (attraction)
  2. Wrigley Field (attraction)
  3. North Coast Music Fest (attraction)
  4. Skydeck Chicago (attraction)
1 thanks
